Kali

Kālī, also known as Kālikā, is the Hindu goddess of war, empowerment, time, creation, preservation, destruction and power.  She is the mighty aspect of the goddess Durga.
Kali means "black one" or "force of time."

Uma, the All-mother and Shiva's wife, becomes Kali, the destroyer, to battle an army of demons - a duality much like the Egyptian deities Hathor and Sekhmet.  One in the same, the terrible mothers.
