"The last play I was forced to take part in was The Nativity.  The school wanted all extra girls to be angels.  I wanted to be a shepherd and argued until, in the end, they finally let me play the only girl shepherd.
So just remember, when I was given a choice between wings or a big stick, I chose the big stick."

R'sw-t Un-eket by Yohnnilee
2nd in my Dream Series.

The R'sw-t Un-eket is a semi-aquatic and rather small beastie.

Classification: Amphibious-Monotreme

Life Cycle: Beginning its life as an egg it hatches into a tadpole-like larva that is strictly aquatic, furless and blind. Metamorphosis begins with the opening of the eyes, elongating outer ears and hind leg development. In this pollywog-like stage the lungs develop, ears continue to elongate, tail begins to narrow and shorten and the front legs develop as the eyes grow more circular in shape. After all four legs are completely developed fur begins to grow and so do the incisors. The tail is mostly absorbed into the body for nutrients leaving a very short tail that grows a tuft of fur on it.

Ears: Outer: Ribbed lagomorph ears act as sound enhancers for the inner amphibious ears.

Mouth: Sharp Incisor teeth able to bite through the toughest materials with long sticky tongue for catching insects.

Fur: Their fur isn't actually fur at all, but hair-thin clear spines that are more like the scales on a reptile than actual hair. The "fur" contains both the same cell mechanism that influences the colors & patterns on a chameleon's skin.  Because they are cold-blooded the "fur" absorbs cooler temperatures to keep the skin cool in their humid environments. Markings and colors vary though they're typically bright in color, bellies of the tree-dwelling un-ekets are generally blue to mimic sky and backs are colored according to the foliages in which they live as they can change their "fur" to a limited number of colors to accommodate their environments.

Skeletal Structure
R'sw-t Un-eket: Skeletal by Yohnnilee

Legs: Quadrupedal: Short front limbs, longer hind limbs

Feet: 4 digits on front feet and 5 digits on hind feet webbed or partially webbed and typically ending in claws or suction cups depending upon the breed of Un-eket.

Diet: Vegetation & Insects/Arachnids

Habitat: Jungles/Rainforests (on an alien world)

Alien Goat MLP:FiM Version by Yohnnilee
The name of this species is Egyptian and literally translates to "dream goat" which is exactly where the original idea for this creature came about, in one of my dreams.
This is the first creature in my Dream Series and there will be more to come I'm sure.  For as long as I dream I will continue to draw the bizarre things found there.  :)

Species: R'sw-t M-bui

Classification: Monotreme-like, but more reptillian in physiology that lays eggs yet still produces milk for its young.

DETAILS:
Male R'sw-t M-bui by Yohnnilee Female R'sw-t M-bui by Yohnnilee
Ears: Very prominent long ears ribbed with cartlidge. Impeccable hearing to the point that they can virtually hear distances, shapes and textures!

Eyes: 2 sets of eyes. Because they have an extra set of eyes their peripheral vision is doubled. During the day iris colors vary with each individual of the species (much like the iris of a human eye) and pupils are rectangular or oblong in shape. The eyes darken the closer it gets to dusk and by nightfall their eyes have turned completely black and fully nocturnal.

Horns: 3 horns found on both males and females. Two small horns on either side of the top of the head and one spiral horn in the middle of the face. In males the horns are thicker and more texturized than the females whose horns are more slender and smooth.

Alien Goat 2.0 by Yohnnilee Tusks: Females are the ones with the tusks or fangs protruding from their upper jaw.

Build: In general, they have slender bodies- however muscle mass in the males is denser making their bodies appear more stout than the females. They have the traditional knobby-knees and cleft hooves, but a long tail (which is often longer in the females) with a tuft on the end.

Fur: Their natural colors are usually abnormally vibrant shades of greens, yellows, blues, etc. but this species has specialized fur that is not fur at all, but hair-thin clear spines that are more like the scales on a reptile than actual hair. The "fur" contains both the same cell mechanism that influences the colors & patterns on a chameleon's skin and the same bioluminescent chemicals found in some arthopods and some deep-sea marine life. They can emit blue, green, yellow, red and infrared light.

Males have a distinguishable tuft (or "goatee") under their chin.

Markings: Because of their unique coat the colors and markings vary with environments and moods.

Offspring: Known as "kids" in the human English language their offspring are hatched from eggs. It is rare to find more than one egg per nest. When they hatch, only their spiral horn has partially formed enough to break through the tough shell. They are fangless or goateeless and dull in color for their own protection having not yet developed the necessary cells and glands to change colors and markings or "glow."
